The Parable of Gibeah - Part 3 of 3

Why did things deteriorate to such a state in Israel that the people of the covenant would stoop so low as to rape and kill a guest? The answer is laced all through the story from the very beginning even to the end, so that the message will resound and be enshrined in our hearts forever.
Introduction - Part 1 of 3
The 'Answer' is Up-Hill

I will be sharing three important prophetic perspectives on the current happenings in our land as peaceful protesters were gunned down by an oppressive government. This will be the first perspective I will be sharing and it is only introductory in nature.
As the scripture says, Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.Amos 3:7 Thankfully, the Lord has not left us in the dark. He has been speaking to us.
If you recall, I shared a vision which I received from the Lord on July 1 2020, which I titled, The Vision of The Coming War. In it I saw two attacks; one was a warning and the other was the main attack. I am strongly convinced that the first attack revealed in that dream represents Covid 19, and the Second attack appears to be this new crises that is upon us as a nation.
Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.Psalms 144:1 NKJV
I had a dream where I was part of an army that was made up of several armies (just like Israel with its several tribes, each having its own army). Something alarming happened that drove us all to go see what might be the problem. In order to have an elevated view of what was happening, we ran up a wooden balcony overlooking the fence of our camp to the outside, the wooden platform looked like a watchtower and served as a muster point.
I want to encourage you in this season of great travails.
The burden of the times we find ourselves in requires a great deal of discipline. Discipline to study, to research, to pray, to fast, to write and the list goes on and on. Please don’t let your limitations discourage you. If you fail, get up again, shake off the dust and pick up from where you left off. Never back down, and never give in. Keep pushing forward.
Someone said, “Motivation is doing something when you feel like doing it. Discipline is doing something regardless of how you feel.”
While this is true, we must all bear in mind that the end point of discipline is motivation. We start by doing things regardless of how we feel about it until we are doing it because we feel like doing it every time.
Discipline is the science of rewiring yourself to move from the comfort zone to the learning zone… To the point where your learning zone becomes your comfort zone and your comfort zone becomes your danger zone.
In fact, discipline rearranges the entire spectrum of the trio-zone – the comfort zone, the learning zone and the danger zone. Discipline re-wires you to redefine all three to empower your competitive muscle.
“Comfort” becomes Danger, Danger becomes a learning curve, and Learning becomes comfortable.
Hurt people tend to raise a shield, a form of defense mechanism, to protect themselves from future hurts. These shields can come in different forms. Some choose not to trust again (reasoning that if they don’t have expectations then they won’t have disappointments). Some choose not to feel again (their logic here is that if they can’t feel love, then neither can they feel hurt). For such, relationship is just contractual.
No matter what you’ve been through, stop playing the role of a victim. Be the product of God’s Word, not the product of your circumstances or of your environment. We have all been victimized one time or another. But we don’t have to be victims. While facilitating a Pagemaster Discipleship Training, I recalled a very painful childhood experience. . .
Very often our desire to stay sanctified as God’s people ends up with us being isolated. Because we fear contamination, we fail to do one of our core duties – service to humanity. So just like the priest and the Levite in the parable of the good Samaritan, we turn a blind eye to the suffering and evil that is happening around us. But let me assure you; we can have contact without contamination. It’s called being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Sadly, the salt is losing its taste and the light is gradually fading away. That’s why I have titled this write up, “When the children of light are in the dark.”
I realize that when cynical people want to corner you with a silly argument, or criticize established authorities, they say things like, ‘Jesus did not own a school, He did not build a cathedral’. Continue reading →
